Booking proposals
How producers submit proposals and how venue owners review them.
Booking proposals connect producers with venue owners. A producer submits a proposal for specific dates at a specific space, and the venue owner reviews and responds.
Submitting a proposal (producers)
There are two ways to submit a proposal:
From the venue page
- Browse venues at
/venuesor view a venue profile. - Click "Propose for this space" on any space card.
- Select available dates from the calendar.
- Link an existing campaign (draft or active).
- Add your contact information and a message to the venue owner.
- Submit the proposal.
From your campaign
- View your campaign on the dashboard.
- Click "Find a Venue" to browse venues with your campaign context.
- The search pre-fills filters based on your campaign's metro area and performance dates.
- Submit a proposal as above — the campaign is automatically linked.
Reviewing proposals (venue owners)
When a producer submits a proposal, you'll receive an email notification. From your venue dashboard:
- View the proposal details including dates, rental amount, and the producer's message.
- Review the linked campaign to assess demand (promise count, threshold, ticket price).
- Choose to Accept (moves to Tentative) or Decline the proposal.
Contract statuses
| Status | Meaning | |--------|---------| | Proposed | Producer submitted, awaiting venue owner response | | Tentative | Venue owner accepted, dates are held | | ROFR Pending | Right of first refusal offered, producer has 2 business days to respond | | Booked | Producer committed, dates are confirmed | | Completed | Event took place, both parties signed off | | Released | Producer or ROFR expired, dates returned to available | | Declined | Venue owner declined the proposal | | Disputed | One party lodged a dispute after the event |
Right of first refusal (ROFR)
If a venue owner receives an outside booking interest for dates held by a tentative contract, they can offer the current producer right of first refusal. The producer has 2 business days to either commit to booking or release the dates.
