Venue details

Adding venue information to your campaign.

Venue details help patrons know where the event will take place. They are part of the campaign creation wizard (Step 2). Performance dates immediately follow venue selection in the wizard (Step 3), so you'll choose "where" then "when" in a natural flow.

Available fields

  • Venue name — the name of the venue or location (required unless "I don't have a venue yet" is checked).
  • Venue address or city — the street address, or just the city if the venue is TBD (required). Displayed on the public event page to help patrons find the venue.
  • Venue capacity — the maximum number of attendees (required). This limits how many tickets can be promised per performance.

Availability pre-check

When you select a platform venue and space, the system checks whether the space has available dates. If no dates are available, you'll see a warning suggesting you contact the venue owner or choose a different space. This warning is informational only and does not prevent you from continuing.

"I don't have a venue yet"

If you haven't secured a location, check the "I don't have a venue yet" checkbox. This hides the venue name field and changes the address field to ask for just a city. Your event page will show the city instead of a full venue address. You can add the venue details later by editing the campaign.

Capacity

If you set a venue capacity, the system will prevent patrons from promising more tickets than the venue can hold. The remaining capacity is shown on the promise form.

Info

Venue capacity applies per performance. If your capacity is 100 and you have two performances, up to 100 promises can be collected for each date.
