Editing a campaign
What you can edit on a campaign and when.
You can edit campaigns that are in draft or active status. Campaigns in other statuses (converted, expired, cancelled) cannot be edited.
To edit, open the campaign from your dashboard and click Edit.
The edit screen at a glance
The edit screen is organized into five tabs so you can jump straight to the section you want to change:
- Details — title, description, event URL, external ticket link, contact name and email
- Images — hero and gallery images
- Location & Dates — metro area, venue (or "no venue yet"), capacity, and the list of performance dates
- Pricing — ticket price, minimum ticket threshold, who pays the service fee (draft only), promise deadline, and the public progress bar toggle
- Contributions — accept contributions, fundraising goal, minimum contribution, contribution tiers, and the immediate-collect toggle
The Save changes button at the bottom saves every tab in one go, no matter which tab is currently open. If any field has a validation problem, the tab containing the problem shows a small red dot and the screen jumps to that tab when you click Save.
You can deep-link to a specific tab by appending a hash to the URL (for example, /edit#contributions). Switching tabs updates that hash so you can share the link.
Editing a draft campaign
While a campaign is in draft, you can change anything across all five tabs, including the fee-absorption setting under Pricing.
Editing an active campaign
Once a campaign is published and active, you can still edit it from your dashboard. All fields remain editable, including images and performance dates.
When you save changes to an active campaign:
- All changes are logged in a changelog for your records.
- Patrons with active promises are notified by email about what changed.
- Performances that already have promises cannot be removed (but new performances can be added).
Editing an active campaign changes the terms patrons originally agreed to. Use this carefully — especially for pricing, dates, and venue changes. Patrons are notified of all updates.
What can't be edited
Only campaigns in draft or active status can be edited. Once a campaign is converted, expired, or cancelled, it is permanently locked.
